Anniversary. Can you believe it? On January 19, 1997,
just over 100 people attended our first service at Donald
Elementary. There were 54 core members who started with
us. God has added to His church and our attendance has
been running around 200 since we went to two services in
September. The Rhythm Band and Vocal Teams have many new
faces. We’re seeing more and more of you get
involved in drama, music, Hub Club, hospitality and many
other vital ministries at NorthShore. And the best is yet
to come!
Small Group Needs. We’re
looking to start many new small groups in 1998. There are
two vital needs that we have for small groups: 1)
leaders/teachers 2) host homes. If you have taught or led
a group before, we need you. If you would be willing to
host a small group in your home, please let me know. You
can reach me at 724-2156, or simply make a note on your
green information card this Sunday.

PowerLine Prayer
Ministry. PowerLine is a unique intercessory prayer
ministry beginning in February. We are looking for people
who are willing to pray for the needs of others on a
regular basis. Most prayer ministries occur in a specific
place at a specific time. Since NorthShore is a mobile
church, we will activate our prayer warriors in a unique
way. The PowerLine Team will consist of people who commit
to weekly prayer in their own home or workplace. I will
be leading an informational meeting in early February.
Watch your program for an announcement of the meeting and
an opportunity to sign up for the ministry.
Dream Team. The
Dream Team is working hard to develop a master plan for
our 20-acre site on FM 2499. An architect and building
team have been selected after a thorough search, and a
period of research and planning to determine future
building needs of the church has begun. We have an
immediate need for a building. All of us are anxious to
see where God is leading us. Pray for Robin Lindsay and
the Dream Team as they seek His direction and guidance.
Faith That Really
Works. I have begun a series in the book of James
entitled "Faith That Really Works." This
14-week series will help us see how our faith can be put
into action. God gave us the Book of Proverbs in the Old
Testament to show us His wisdom. God gave us the Book of
James in the New Testament for the same purpose. How can
I put my faith in God’s Word into action? God honors
faith; that is what pleases Him (Hebrews 11:6). But,
James tells us that faith that is not put into action is
no faith at all. I hope that you won’t miss any of
these important messages.
