Pope · Senior Pastor Get Ready!! September 7th
will be here before you know it. On that Sunday, we will
begin a new schedule of services. We will duplicate the
Celebration Service at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. Now you have a
choice. This will give us the opportunity to grow and
will allow all of our childrens workers to attend
the service.
Childrens Workers
Needed. We are really blessed to have dedicated
childrens workers who give of their time
sacrificially (they have not always been able to come to
the service). With our new schedule, there is great need
for more workers in our TeamKid childrens ministry.
Please consider working with children during one service
and attending the service during the alternate time. Call
Suzy Spencer at 434-0326 or speak with her this Sunday
about opportunities to serve in this vital ministry.
Basics of Life.
This Sunday, I will begin a four-week series on the
basics of life. Everything starts with a base, a
foundation. This series is designed to teach us what God
says about the basics we need to get through our life
journey. There are things that we take for granted and
really never consider until the going gets tough. Plan to
be at the Sunday services for this revealing series.
The Great Adventure.
Facing the unknown is probably the most challenging part
of being a believer. We sometimes ask, "What will
happen next?" The truth is: God has a plan and
purpose for every one of us. He knows our future and will
let us know when the time is right. Our part is to stay
on track with Him.
Just as it is with us
individually, it is the same for our church. God has a
great plan for NorthShore and we are already seeing some
of the exciting things He wants to do. The Bible says,
"We make plans in our hearts, but God is the one who
directs our steps." How true that is. We can plan
and plan, but God directs our steps. And you know what?
It is all to bring honor to Himself. This truly is a
great adventure that we are on. Hang on because this is
going to be some kind of ride!
See you this Sunday with a
friend by your side and love in your heart...
