Retreat and Workshop. Melony and I had a great time at the Youth Minister’s 1998 Getaway at Shepherd of the Ozarks in Arkansas during the first week October. We heard from several super communicators including Mark Matlock (this year’s Student Conference Leader). The Student Conference Band, MERCYME, was also there to lead us in worship. It was a challenging week, yet it gave us an opportunity for relaxation and renewal. I look forward to the Shepherd Ministries Student Conference coming up at the end of March in Fort Worth. Make plans now to attend!

StudentGroup Time Change. I am looking forward to our StudentGroup time change on December 6th. That Sunday, we will begin meeting at 9:00 a.m. in the gym for Bible Study. 6th–12th graders will meet as a large group the first few minutes for the 4 P’s: Prayer, Pronouncements, Praise, and Phellowship. Then we will break into smaller groups for Bible Study. The 6th and 7th graders will meet with John Damore and the 8th–12th grade will stay in the gym. After the Bible Study everyone is encouraged to attend the 10:30 a.m. Celebration Service.

Bowling on November 8th. Come join us for our monthly After-Church Lunch and Fellowship. Witness the incredible shot that "Yours Truly" has developed over years of experience in the "alleys of life." I challenge you all to a game in which I will outscore you…as I "granny" bowl between my legs!

September After-Church Paintball Outing. We had a great time playing paintball after church. It was the first time for most of us. We got clobbered the first round. But as the day went on we got the hang of the game and made our mark on a few members of the other team. Speaking of making your mark…do that this week for the Lord by inviting a friend to NorthShore Church StudentGroup this Sunday.

See you there…
